GEPRC PX2.5 Phoenix
I have built this quad to be a light and small, yet nippy craft. This has been my last build before the “big rethinkâ€, when I have restarted the hobby from scratch.
I have studied bind and flight version of the GEPRC Phoenix and have decided that I could build that with a slight upgrade. Instead of the F4 stack I have chosen the F7 which had double gyros. And instead of the default camera I have gone for the brand new Caddx Ratel, which has excellent picture.
When I have built this one I already have got myself the goggles, so no more 7†screen attached on the controller. And I have been practicing in simulator some time, so I finally dared to go AIR-mode and enjoy the freedom of rotation in any direction í ½í¸Š
This quad has been a great tool for me to learn and dare to go further into the twilight zone of flying. Amazing times, very little crashing but a lot of learning. I know that some say that without crashing you never learn, but I would not fully agree…
This video includes some footage about the quad. Also some failsafes with my Avant X3 EVO, where I have managed to create a really funky mix in the radio, where reaching 80% RSSi has resulted in failsafe. Took some time to discover the mistake, afterwards it has flown again nicely.
This other one has some power loops, which have been my first ones.
