This is probably also a bit boring to watch. I was going for a personal range record with 2.4GHz Spektrum control and 5.8GHz video on the Columbia River near Skamokawa, WA.
You can see two or three control glitches where the flight controller goes into failsafe for a second or two. The video quality is great with the ground station throughout. We used a FatShark Dominator with built-in 5.8GHz receiver and skew-planar antenna as backup - it lost signal at about 1.0 miles.
Max distance on this flight was 1.7 miles.
This quad frame is made from leftover DJI F550 parts built the hex as a quad. That leaves a nice big opening for FPV and GoPro cameras with no arms or props in view. It's also light, fast and efficient. I'm running SunnySky 2216 motors, HK 30A ESCs with SimonK firmware, Naza with GPS, Gemfan carbon 10x5 props, Readymade RC 600XV camera, EZOSD with power monitor, ImmesionRC 600mW transmitter, Zippy 4s 5800 battery.
Ground station: ImmersionRC Duo5800 v2 diversity receiver with Circular Wireless helical and skew planar wheel antennas mounted on Readymade RC Antenna Pan/Tilt mount with ImmersionRC EZtracker antenna tracker, FatShark BASE goggles and RMRC FPV1000 DVR.
