This video is a tutorial on how to wire up a LED light bar on a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (ZJ).
Materials Used:
LED Light Bar
30 Feet of Red 16 Gauge Wire
30 Feet of Black 16 Gauge Wire
Switch
30 amp/12 Volt Relay (4RA003510-08)
Several Easy Connect Crimp Sleeves
The numbers on the relay are as follows:
30 connects directly to your battery or power source
85 connects to a ground
86 connects to the switch (cent.r or bottom prong)
87 connects to the positive wire on the light bar
The switch has 3 prongs and are as follows:
Top Prong - Ground wire
Center Prong - Either to Battery/Power Source or to 86 Prong on Relay
Lower Prong - Whichever Wasn't Used on Center Prong
(Please note that the layout of your switch may vary, that's why I gave the two options. Most switches should label which is ground etc.)
The rest is pretty straight-forward, just hide the wires, run them through the firewall or door-jam, be creative and find a way to hide them out of sight so that the job looks clean when it's finished.
