I been having problems for the past couple of months.I just thought it was the car acting up cause of me using the car so much at work starting and stopping then starting and stopping I mean thats the way i looked at it just another thing that would just go away. Then the starting issues became more severe. No matter almost what I did rock the car back and forth moving the shifter putting the car in neutral all those options were becoming nulled. So i took it to my friend and also i have a certified pre owned car but i did not want to take it to the dealer cause then i had to pay the deductible of $135 bucks and they had to replicate the issue that was having.I took it to my friend who real knowledgeable of cars and pointed out that it was the Neutral safety switch aka inhibitor switch that it connects right on top of the transmission. So i went and bought one from autozone and replace it and thinking i was good.I was good for the first 2 weeks then it started to act up again luckily for me i had ordered the same one from the hyundai dealership just to be safe if the aftermarket one did not work and it sure did not work cause the aftermarket one does not have the same pin inside the switch that the dealership one has that aligns to register to the computer that the car was in park.So again I replace the switch with the original it works 100 percent but the only thing is now that i should of had the dealership do it cause they have to reset the computer something i dont have so from time to time not so many once in a blue it does that i move the shifter and it starts with no problem.I called the dealership and told them the problems i was having they told it was the switch and told me that they have to reset the computer. So ladies and gentleman the dealership told me that anytime you have to rock the car back and forth it was the switch problem but the starter has similar problems but my car was geared towards the switch due to putting the car in neutral and starting it.To me it did not sound like the starter cause the starter sounded like a champ everytime i started it.Also check the battery post cause when they are loose and corrided they have the same symptoms just giving you guys other solutions.Dont take it to any other dealership but hyundai to save yourself this headache.I hope my comments helped you out and my short vid take care thanks.
