Donald Tsang is the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in China and his current term shall end on the 30th of June 2012. During the 1997-8 Asian financial crisis, he, the financial secretary of the HKSAR at the material time, declared war on international speculators by implementing several measures that eventually simulated the weaken Hong Kong stock market.
