General Veteran Tips:

- Saving humans improves fire rate for your weapon temporarily. Combined with the Nemesis ship you can take care of enemies quickly. I saved humans until there are multiple enemies on screen. I tried not to let that fire rate increase waste.
- Be quick. Its better to deal with enemies before they evolve into more difficult forms.
- Enemies spawn in the same location and the waves are scripted. Save your bombs, boost, and overdrive for the sections that give you the most trouble.
- Your boost will refill slightly if you chain multiple enemies in one boost. Also the size of the AOE attack after boost finishes is based on how many enemies you were able to kill during boost. You want to end boost in a high density area.
- To get the trophy you just have to beat all the levels once on veteran difficulty. They don't have to be in one sitting.

- The different waves are very manageable and have tactics that, if exploited, should make the fight easier. The video does a good job showing what needs to be done.
1) When the fight starts just attack while retreating. If he gets too close, use just a little boost to get some distance.
2) When the boss starts doing the vertical directional attacks: keep moving. If you feel you will get stuck and die boost slightly. Don't waste too much boost - you will need it.
3) When he starts firing bullets you want to be close. It is much easier to dodge the bullets up close. Boost towards him and strafe up and down. The bullets have a very long distance before they fade out and each one goes in a different direction as they get further. This makes it hard to dodge far away from the initial shot location.
4) This one took me a while to figure out but the tactic is the same as #2. Occasionally, he will put a circle ahead of you that anticipates your movement. Be sure to boost through it.
5) The final phase is like phase #1 except he will shoot so much bullets at you. They are near impossible to dodge. Fortunately, if you boost through him and land between his body you are free to do as much damage as you like (safely).
