Engaging stakeholders helps to ensure, above all, the development of appropriate policies. When an inclusive mix of stakeholders participates in the brief and dialogue process, their concerns are heard and taken into account; problems are analyzed, described and perceived correctly; appropriate solutions can be identified; important barriers to implementing solutions are considered; effective implementation strategies are identified; appropriate values are used when balancing the pros and cons of options; and, ultimately, policy decisions are appropriate, understood and acceptable.
In this narrated video, we provide an animated overview of how SURE project teams have engaged stakeholders throughout the policy brief and dialogue process.
