Previously I made a video on 3D scanning for free with just your camera and some software. In this video we'll do the same thing with some different free software, there are some drawbacks and some things that are better, you decide which method you like best!
For lighting, a cloudy day is good or for small objects fluorescent lighting also casts very little shadow. You can also try doing it inside a shadow.
