We held a 48 hour hackathon over the weekend 16th, 17th and 18th September 2016. Although this hackathon was designed in order to come up with a solution for the “Code for Taxicabs Mobility Challenge”, (http://code4cabs.devpost.com/?utm_source=personal&utm_medium=email&utm_content=meetup&utm_campaign=code4cabs) i.e. to improve the taxi-sharing experience for drivers and riders in Morocco, we decided to also tackle local South African transportation issues.
There was coffee on tap supplied by Black Insomnia Coffee and juice from Juicebox, as well as prizes and some food supplied by other sponsors including WhereIsMyTransport and Amazon
Our aims for the hackathon:
• For you to meet likeminded people
• Learn new skills
• Use your skills to develop something that will help improve the world
• Solve a problem
• Improve the structure for future hackathons
Problems we tackled:
