Making Drones is an open source course where 60 students of Istituo Massimo Rome Italy (8-17 years) designed, built and
piloted their 55 professional drones.
The course is organized as a competition where teams play games while learning and making.
Students enjoyed their piloting ability realizing the world record with the highest number of drones (50) simultaneously driven by
kids.
Making drones is the world first example of its kind considering student age, contents and didactic approach.
Participants have anonymously assessed every lesson to continuously improve student experience (Final student assessment is 9,2/10 over 490 evaluations) .
This free course has been designed by Claudio Becchetti and P. Sergio Cavicchia SJ with the help of 14 volunteers with industrial, educational and academic background (Marco Carli, Michele Caprasecca, Dante Dessena, Massimiliano Di Dio, Fabrizio Olati, Federica Pascucci, Laura Passamonti, Augusto Reggiani e Fabio Topani and Giovanna De Maio, Marco De Palma, Donato Puoti, Renato Reggiani, Agostino Ruberto ).
