Internet of Things is getting every small device around us connected to the internet. With IPv6, a large number of addresses are available for every small device to be connected to the internet. In order for these devices to be effectively connected to the internet, a robust network architecture is necessary. In this project, we propose a mesh network for the IoT devices such as a SensorTag that can sense temperature, humidity and motion and send its data to the router and also route the data of the nearby sensors. These sensors are enabled to connect to the internet via an Edge Router. This network of sensors will use 6LoWPAN protocol and the router will be designed using Raspberry Pi. The benefit of this system is that a distant sensor can communicate with router with intermediate sensors’ assistance.
