Wow I'm having a lot of fun with this new filter from OPTcorp.com. It's the Triad Quadband Ultra filter and its new and awesome. Join me in this video as I give you an update as to what I've been doing and talk about my imaging tests with this filter. If you're doing city astrophotography, imaging from your backyard, and have a one shot colour like a DSLR camera or cooled cmos camera, then this filter is for you. So far I'm super impressed and I think you will be too! Check out the 4.5 hour image I took of the Elephant Trunk Nebula (IC1396) using this filter and the detail it brought out even in my light polluted skies. I'm also trying out the QHY168C cooled cmos camera. It's a 16mb colour camera and seems to be very sensitive with low noise - a perfect combination!
