Speech Recognition and Artificial Intelligence has rapidly advanced over the years. This week, we ran an experiment to convert our robotic arm into a voice activated one. We also had a little fun testing the intelligence and wit of the Google Assistant!
We were pleasantly surprised by the voice recognition accuracy and the voice quality of the online "Google Assistant". (The offline voice generator sounded more robotic - 00:09s when it answered the question "do you have hands?")
We must say that Google was quite effective in picking up whatever we said, though it did not yet understand some things like what was Kopi-O (for now).
