It extends from 25 to 32 inches, so you are not going to want to use it on your driveway, but it's a good shovel. I use it for ice fishing to shovel out some areas by the hole. So it adjusts from 25 inches out to 32, and it's nice all extended out. So you push the button in and extend it, and then you can take it apart, take it all the way apart. It comes apart in three pieces, so if you want to use it in your backpack or something. And it only weighs 20 ounces so you can pack that, so it's good to keep it in your car or in your snow mobile, wherever you can use it.
