My cousin and I were exploring Grossingers Resort in Liberty, NY and we were the only people there that day.
When we were in the abandoned hotel we heard a telephone ring about 4 times. The building had no electricity so we were really freaking out.
We also did some research and realized that the owners daughter killed herself by jumping out the hotels window. We heard the last two rings standing directly next to a window in one of the stairwells.
We are making the assumption that the spirit was trying to contact us using the phone, but after the four rings we never heard it again even when we went inside again before we left.
We also went looking for the phone when we came back but all of them were smashed or not plugged into the wall.
Most people lie about hearing noises in these abandoned buildings, but this was real and there is history to back it up.
