Aircraft Designer is a program that allows you to calculate all of the essential data needed for a first concept design of an aircraft in MATLAB and builds a model of the aircraft using OpenVSP. The program takes in only 6 basic inputs regarding what you want the aircraft to actually be able to do and outputs all of the flight data you need to begin evaluating your idea.
This program was developed by Jackson Merkl with the help of Alex Popescu at a Georgia Tech Hackathon.
*Airfoil data was gathered from the website airfoiltools.com, using the data available on the website to calculate which tested airfoil best fits your design.
