Citabria's fly 105knots cruise and thus do not have the STOL abilities of SuperCubs or other all-out-STOL designs, most of which sport only a cruise of 68knots. This landing here is in DEAD CALM WIND conditions and the 3-point touchdown speed is 45mph. Any slower and the Tailwheel will touch down first, resulting in the mains coming down hard an spraying gravel and rocks over the tail and against the rear fuselage. Indicated stall speed is about 38mph. I wish we had the long 8GCBC Scout gear-legs!
