Watch the Moon slide past Aldebaran. Because the Moon is not a perfect sphere, the star was blocked by mountains, and shone down lunar valleys. This is called a Grazing occultation.
Taken at Glen Williams Park, on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Starting at 11:16 pm EST. A Canon T1i was attached to a 6" Ritchey-Chretien telescope. The clock drive failed, so it had to be adjusted frequently.
