Loading spinners are very important part of a applications user interface (UI) and have a huge impact on user experience of an web application. Loading spinners are very popular and are used by many big players like Facebook, Google and even WordPress.
Loading bars are also quite common replacements but they takes up lot of space which can be annoying. So spinners are best.
