All Things Slick is the second in a series of instructional videos presented by respected RC pilot Andrew Jesky and RC film-maker Fred Midgett. In this episode, Andrew reviews one of the most popular RC aircraft - the AJ Slick. Originally introduced by 3DHobbyShop as a 51" model, the Slick has since been produced in five sizes ranging from 42" to 126". As the designer and namesake of the craft, he is intimately familiar with every aspect of assembly and flight performance. He takes the viewer through the construction of the 70" version, offering step by step instruction for a fast and successful build. At the field, AJ talks through the maiden trim flight, tests fore and aft CG, applies mixing for "hands off" knife edge flight and then demonstrates a series of popular maneuvers including snaps, spins, harriers, rolling harriers, high-alpha KE, snap-to-hover and the death slide. Bonus features show 3DHobbyShop owner Ben Fisher demonstrating the proper installation of a 30cc gas engine in the 70"Slick and Ben reviews equipment selection and repair techniques for the 42" slick. The presentation includes clearly marked chapters so that finding or reviewing any particular segment of the presentation is simple.
