Hey how’s it going freelancers, today I’ve got some news in anthem involving everyone’s favorite controversial topic: Loot boxes and microtransactions. In a Subreddit titled “Worried About Potential for toxic loot box economy in anthem”, several fans have been voicing their predictions, and concerns, on just how bioware and EA would implement microtransactions into the game. Luckily bioware has been reading the subreddit, and Brennon Holmes, bioware’s creative director, has even been responding to some fans. One fan said:

Now what the creative director said here next is what gives me hope that EA and bioware will try to be careful and smart when deciding if and how to add microtransactions into the game. He says
Well overall, I am really happy that bioware is listening to fan concerns about loot crates, and realizes the main issues that could exist, if they are not implemented well, such as having exclusive cosmetic items being an annoyance, and that if a currency exist for them, they need to be balanced well with currency earned in game.
