After over a week of building and frustration i finally took my maiden FPV flight on the Tricopter today. It was a perfect flying day except for some wind at altitude. On the ground we had only a slight breeze but about 20 feet up it was a bit more windy. Wind was fairly strong out of the west today.
Originally i was trying to setup the tri with a FlyCam Blackboard (from kkmulticopter.kr, it is a version of the kkmulticopter board). I spent two days trying to work things out and get stable flight/hover from this board and gave up for now. I had an extra ArduPilot Mega so installed that instead. Im glad i did, the tri flies very stable with this board. Its also nice to have the option for RTL, Waypoints, etc.
