One of the most common questions we get asked during our pregnancy is, "are you having a boy or a girl?" We believe this question is being asked because those asking want to celebrate with us, they want to be involved in the process and they want to share in our excitement. In this video we discuss how the concept of "boy or girl" is perhaps, a limited view that does not include all possibilities. We also discuss how the "boy or girl" notion doesn't really effect how we are going to birth, prepare for, or raise our child. In case you haven't guessed it yet, the answer to this question is, we don't know what the gender of our baby is nor do we know what genitalia they possess. We see this as two different questions with two different answers. If that feels confusing, we encourage you to watch the video all the way through.
