Hi friends, this is my first video for the start of my channel and as well of the New Year. Without a doubt I've always wanted to upload my own content but timing was a bit off for me and I wanted to give something that would be enjoyable to the eye and ear. Aaliyah has been of one of the greatest pioneers in the industry and it was an privilege to craft to her essence.
I was very fortunate enough to have my younger brother Dylan Banares learn and also dance alongside with me. He has given me enlightenment and love for this piece. Thanks to him for always pushing me in the right direction,
The original idea for this piece was to give back to the community, hopefully inspire those who are willingly to go through the process of hard work ethic. As choreographers we venture through all types of music, but what holds us back is when someone who inspires you has choreographed to that song you've always wanted to try on. We avoid collision with music because the fear of "lacking uniqueness". This is one of my fears as a choreographer, touching content that someone who has already done its justice on and accomplished it. This process allowed me to overcome that challenge to continue to feel and breathe within my craft with no worry of others creative mind. Thank you for taking the time to watch it means the world!
P.S the song was taken down by the artist, but I was just in time to downloaded before it was taken down but I added the song just in case you end of finding it.
