I left Yerevan after 3 nights there, I took the collective taxi 2500 Drams (£4) to Gyumri, the second biggest city in Armenia. The journey to 2.5 hours. When I finally managed to check into the hostel, I instantly made some friends with two Georgians and and Armenian girl, they showed me around, we visited a workshop to see some locals crafting some ornaments. Emma (The Armenian girl) kindly invited us into her home and gave us some Armenian Lavash. Her hospitality was incredible. I also learned about the earth quake in Gyumri in 1988 and was shown some of the streets that were destroyed, also two tops off a church that fell off and now sit outside.
