This is the perfect baby boat with sunshade for fours of fun at the pool this summer! It is made of a durable plastic, not that thin cheap stuff you'd find at your local retail stores. The steering wheel was a concern of mine in considering this purchase- but when it got here I was thoroughly impressed in the quality and thought that this company has made in to making this float. The steering wheel base is made well, the base is strong enough that I can tell they thought about it being made for the tugging of toddlers. No worries moms and dads, my son pulled on this the entire time- no holes were made! It has two handles, one on each side of the steering wheel for you to hold on to the float or for you child to hold on. The sun shade needs to be inflated just like the boat. Then you just attach it to the boat by the plastic/silicone things as shown in my video. This infant boat also has a back/head rest. The seat size is generous, my 16 month old had plenty of room- he should be able to use this up to about 3 years old without any issues. The seat sit just below the top of the water, the sides are also very high. When my son would lean over to splash in the water, I had no worries of it tipping. You do not have to use this toy with the sun shade on, see picture provided. I am not disappointed in this purchase at all, I highly recommend this for you toddlers. The quality is great, with proper supervision this will bring tons of joy for you and your children all summer long.
