Augmented Reality has already been introduced in different areas of our lives. The digitization of our environment is progressing inexorably, the boundaries between the real and digital mix more and more.
We, a group of students from FHNW, deals with the issues of digital perception and its importance for us and our lives.
In an interdisciplinary work we deal with the realization of an application for Google Glass and smartphones, which can be applied in museums.
The aim is to bring the visitors of a museum with the help of new technology, the exhibited art objects closer and intensify the experience of the museum visit.
With our system, the visitor should be able to scan images and other art objects and get communicated from one server to their Google Glass or her smartphone information. Further, they should be able to see (so-called beacons) with the help of an indoor localization hardware, where they are currently located.
