From Adrianou street you may deviate to Kidathinaion street. Now you dive into the heart of Athens, the Plaka area. Plaka is the oldest builded area in post Ottoman Athens. It has 106 building blocks. Its street layout has remained unchanged for centuries. Most buildings dates from 19th century. They are called neoclassic. You will see many beautiful old houses. Around Kidathinaion street you will find many good old respectable restaurants. Spent your night in (by night) taverns of the Chatzimichali street.
