I got my axn very recently and assembling it was pretty easy ( followed Bruce's instructions @ rcmodelreviews channel ).
This is my first time EVER trying to fly an rc airplane. I have some experience with a WL929 quad and the DJI Phantom.
Well the axn does fly like a dream and it took off quite well from the snow. The crash most likely was caused by the "lost model beeper" getting stuck in the servo arm = elevator could not move caused the crash. Too bad the crash was so high speed and so vertical, broke the nose and cut the entire fuselage in half :(
I guess i will do some repairs tomorrow with hot glue and wooden sticks to reinforce the fuselage. I'm pretty happy that the wings, rudder and elevator are in perfect condition.
One servo was totally busted in the crash, and yes it is the elevator one. The elevator did not take a hit in the crash so i figure that the beeper got stuck and broke the servo before crash.
My fault totally, shoud have checked and mounted everything properly before flight.
