02:03(fun part starts here!) Gravel-Pit freestyle flight
00:00 Betaflight 3.2.2 - feels stiff, not drifty (not an issue with 3S)
00:19 Betaflight 3.3 - feels less stiff
01:00 Butterflight 3.4.2 - feels floaty / loose
I tested the new FC firmwares with my also new Babyhawk-R 2.5 inch(mod).
Tuning:
I pumped down P by 18 and D(Pitch and Roll) by 9 to get rid of some propwash on 4S. I used the same PIDs for every firmware (Briefly, I have to do some fine PID tuning for running 4S).
Also the same for every firmware:
- Vbat PID Compensation: Off
- D Setpoint Weight: 1,5
- D Setpoint transition: 0,85
- Gyro frequency: 8 kHz
- PID loop: 4 kHz (it has a F3)
- DShot 600
- AntiGrav and Airmode: On
- Dynamic gyro notch filtering: On
- D-Term Lowpass Filter: PT1
- Gyro Notch Filter stage 1 and 2: Off
- D-Term Notch Filter: On; Frequency 260Hz; Cutoff 160Hz
For ButterFlight 3.4.2 as suggested:
- Gyro stage 2 filter type: Fast Kalman Filter; q=400; r=88
Babyhawk R:
- 2.5 inch arm Upgrade by PyroDrone with joint front and back arms. (It´s about 3 gramm(!) lighter than the also availabe single arm 2.5 inch Upgrade!)
- Gemfan 2540 Props
- Emax 1106 6000 kv Motors (provided only with the 2″ version, the 3″ gets delivered with 4500 kv Motors!)
- Tattu 75C 450/650 mAh Battery
Video:
- FatShark HD3 DVR
- LaForge v4
- VAS Mad Mushroom Antenna
- TrueRC 5.8GHz X²-AIR Antenna
- 200mw
- Cam almost on min angle(like by 1mm not touching due to maiden indoor test-flights before - However I think it helped doing these backward rollaways nicely.) - Foxeer Arrow v2
