Some footage from my weekend racing at the @britishdroneracingassociation Championships hosted by JCB Kevin Quarry. An incredible facility with a track within the quarry area utilising some of the heavy machinery as decorative obstacles and a huge cherry picker with a gate hanging from the basket! I knew I couldn't possibly compete with the fast guys so I set out just to enjoy the weekend and do the best I could.
After a soggy first day and my only major crash of the weekend on the second day, I ended up qualifying 18th and seeded 6th in the C Triple finals - I could only go up from there! After getting 4th in each of my finals runs, my final position was 16th! More than I could have dreamed of, and one of the best venues I've ever flown - even if it was unforgiving when you crashed!
Huge thanks to the BDRA and JCB Kevin Quarry for an amazing event, and all the pilots who attended and made the weekend all the more memorable! Hopefully we get another opportunity to race at a creative location in the future!
