BD-4, BD-5, BD-5J Vari Viggen, aircraft demonstrated in this video. Burt Rutan worked for Jim Bede at the time and demoed his Vari Viggen. A young Jim Bede (1933 - 2015) appears in the video. Les Bervan (1942 -2001) was the Bede test pilot. Burt Rutan is there helping prepare the BD-5 for flight. He is the guy in the white jacket with the mutton chop sideburns.
