Sortagymanstics Story:
Sortagymnastics is a fitness brand dedicated to functional fitness, bodyweight badassery, and gymnastics skills with a mainstream twist.
Who the heck is Justin Bauer? I’m a former state swimmer in Ohio, 3rd degree blackbelt holder in Tae Kwon Do, and taught myself gymnastics at 18 (painstakingly). Since I’ve started, I fell in love with bodyweight and calisthenics skills, tricking, flipping, and doing outrageous things with this sack of meat. I was the gymnastics captain at Miami Ohio 2012-2014 and loved the people and the team atmosphere that we built.
Graduating college was (and has been) incredibly difficult. I was stripped from my friends and freedoms and forced into a life that I do not enjoy. I have started and failed multiple businesses, got into $25,000 of debt, and lived a generally dry and unfulfilling life.
There were two big moments in my recent life that brought us here:
1) Realizing that despite year’s worth of change, failure, and frustration the only thing stayed consistent was my health and fitness.
2) Becoming a personal trainer on a whim and ultimately changing the lives of 6 clients. My students lost several pounds, gained strength, aesthetic physiques, and have an entirely new confidence- It was insane.
At this point, I decided that I wanted to take my passion and for fitness and changing lives to the next level. This channel is dedicated to teaching you everything I know about functional fitness, bodyweight training, gymnastics, and aesthetics.
That said, we’re all still human and need to blend a fitness practice into a satisfying and fun-filled lifestyle- There’s no point in being for 2-3 hours per day and eating out of Tupperware 5 times per life. We’re here to be badasses and live life.
Whether you’re here for fitness tips or the silly sense of humor- I’m glad you’re here!
