Here is a 1930s Betty Boop (originally black & white) Max Fleischer cartoon from 1935. However this is from a batch that were colorised in the 1960s was it? Colouring was done by hand, well many many hands - before the days of computer tricks.
Incidentally this title "Swat the Fly" was released in the UK on the 9.5mm 'home movie' film gauge in optical sound as T.9518 in August 1939 - but black & white of course!
