Some test drive fun with a BF109 profile fighter from Hobby King. Much improved on the P51 model from the same manufacturer (Tech One).
I used a Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 2826 1240KV motor. with an 8x4 electric "slow fly" prop. It is just ballistic at full throttle and will fly quite smoothly at about 50%. Slow flight is remarkably good for a plane with so many square edges.
Very snappy response in the air, even with 50% exponential on the ailerons (I used 2 servos instead of the recommended single). Good rudder authority too. Wings flap a bit in high G turns but not too bad. A little bumpy in this video due to wind and turbulence, but still controllable.
Should be a very capable dogfighter.
