Topic: Introducing Atlas for iOS. Atlas is a lightweight, flexible set of user interface components designed to enable developers to quickly and easily integrate native communications experiences into their applications. It was designed and built from the ground up to integrate with LayerKit, the native iOS SDK for accessing the Layer communications platform.
In this talk, Blake will provide an overview of the messaging services provided by Layer, the APIs exposed to developers through LayerKit and explore how Atlas integrates the two into UI components that provide these capabilities directly to your app -- and your users. He'll discuss the challenges of designing APIs for simplicity without sacrificing flexibility and share some lessons learned from launching an Open Source project from within a start-up.
