Camera tracking, (also known as match moving, motion tracking, camera solving) is something that I love to do, but haven't really worked on since my "advanced molecular physics" video. As a way of getting back into it, I wanted to make this blender camera tracking tutorial to show you guys how to use this awesome feature.
I wanted to share with you how I go about camera tracking in Blender, and how you can incorporate all sorts of effects into your camera tracked scene.
Every stage of the camera tracking process causes difficulties sometimes, and I wanted to share with you my experience and the ways I've found of overcoming common obstacles. For example, the default tracking markers don't track very accurately in my experience, so I show you a more stable sort of tracking marker that leads to a more accurate camera solve later on. This will make sure anything you composite into the scene will look as if it's anchored into your scene really well. I also show you how to set up a tracking scene very easily, and how to get over the problems with Blender's default tracking scene
