I order things online all the time, but I still remember the first order I received when the seller put an effort on packing presentation. It felt like Christmas! A lovely gift to my self. I remember enjoying the unwrapping as much as the item. I kept the business card and still continue shopping there. Since then, only a handful of orders have made me stop and enjoy the experience.
Help customers remember who you are. Take pride in the presentation not just the items.
Branding plays a huge role in making your company known and remembered. I'm not a professional on branding but one thing I have learned since starting my business: Put your name on it. Package, Packing Slip, Seller Notes, business card and the item it's self, should all have your brand/logo.
Because everything has your name on it, I recommend making your logo/brand simple. It doesn't have to be busy to be noticed.
It can be overwhelming when creating your logo/banding. Gather your thoughts, pin and save logos that you like to get a feel of what you love. After you see your style create your logo/branding. The same goes for packaging. Create a board on Pinterest to see your style then create your packaging. Your packaging doesn't have to be perfect right away, your style can evolve to what you want with each package. Eventually you'll have a style that you like. Be true to your style. If you don't love it, chances are it will show.
Gift wrapping:
If you are using this idea for gift wrapping, you can go wild and get creative. Changing theme for each gift. Decorative tissue always adds a special touch to any gift. The possibility are endless, if you have a stamp you can do it!
Happy Crafting!
