Every 2 years the Grand-Place in Brussels is covered with a flower carpet of begonias. The carpet of 77 m x 24 m is composed by about 120 volunteers, with nearly one million begonias.
In 2016, the 20th Flower Carpet was celebrating Japan due to the 150 years of diplomatic relations and friendship between Belgium and Japan.
The flower carpet was there from From Friday 12 August (construction) to Monday 15 August 2016.
