Building a driveway and bridge in VT. We've cleared trees and thick underbrush through the forest. We encountered stumps, ledge and boggy terrain. We utilized a woven road fabric under the gravel that distributes the vehicle load across a greater per square foot area. There is about 8"-10" of gravel in place above the fabric. The bridge is constructed of 12" thick reinforced concrete walls tied to 12"x30"x14' footings. There are 5 10"x16"x16' timbers and 2 14" tall I-beams over a 12' span. I dont propose to be an engineer and the construction was not engineered but so far the bridge has held over 68,000lbs and SWAG figures it to hold over 80,000lbs. Disclaimer: dont try this at home. I bear no responsibility for anyone using this information without consulting an engineer first. IF YOU LIKE OUR CHANNEL OR THIS VID- PLEASE RATE, COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE! IT WOULD HELP US ALOT! THANKS!
