Thanks to the gang at Flitetest for an awesome plane. These maiden videos meshed together in a weird way are here to help me remember time with my kids. If you enjoy them too then all the better! :)
Thoughts on the build, flight characteristics, etc.:
- build the fuse straight as it is TOO easy to get a twist in the tail
- remember to glue the popsicle stick across the elevator halves to strenthen the elevator. The 'twist' or craziness in the video when I pull hard in a loop is due to the fact that I forgot (since fixed)
- add reinforcement to the top of the aft section (~ 1/2) of the centre of the wing. Under flight conditions the lift pulls the wing up and the elastics squeeze. This leads to the single layer section at the aft part of the centre of the wing buckling which causes the wing's angle of incidence to change. After these and a couple more flights I figured this out and glued a 3 or 4 inch segment of paint stick to that section of the wing - right on the top seam. Works great now!
- keep the tail light by using as little hot glue as is absolutely needed.

I used a Turnigy Park480, Plush 30A (flashed with BLHeli, but that doesn't matter for this), and metal gear 9g servos on tail and ailerons with a couple nylon gears on the flaps. Using a 2200 3S for lipo.
