Sonar Platinum... Cakewalk's flagship program is now FREE. Bandlab the new owner/developer has released a "lighter" version (minus the 3rd party stuff...VSTi , etc) but has ALL the functionality of the program...ProChannel, everything!!
If you still have (your old) Sonar Platinum, DO NOT take it off your machine, as AFTER creating a Bandlab account and downloading this FREE program, it will automatically import ALL your (Cakewalk, preciously purchased) 3rd party plugs, etc
It will install LIKE AN UPDATE.
I suspect the 3rd party stuff you previously purchased from Cakewalk, will come as "add ons" down the line...and allow new users to buy them.... but this enables EVERYONE to be able to own and use and COLABORATE, using Sonar Platinum (now call "Cakewalk by Bandlab")
Btw...there are some upgrades to the program....nothing ground breaking... but it's
