Ever since I've started dealing with carbon fiber, I've wondered whether drilled holes can be tapped (can a hole with threads for a bolt be created).
Today I bought the tools required (I'm sure there are many videos on youtube for tapping holes, so I won't go into detail since I'm FAAAAR from an expert on that), and drilled and tapped some holes in a scrap sheet of carbon fiber.
I didn't expect this to go well, but it sure did! I have yet to test the strength of the thread but it looks and feels perfect!
