(Part 2/3) Members of the ALPHA team at CERN reflect on the "historic" anti-matter results recently published in Nature, & reveal some minor troubles encountered along the way.... See "Matter vs Antimatter" & An Antimatter Breakthrough part 1 for more background. ALPHA's achievement was to shine microwaves on trapped anti-hydrogen atoms and measure the way they react. But it's not as if antimatter is just floating around waiting to be tested: decades of work went into creating the conditions for this kind of work to be possible.
