This system cost me about $100 using parts from Home Depot. Basically it's just a utility pump ($87) and garden hose ($15). From there, it's all about the add ons, like use black garden hose to get more solar heat to warm up the water passing through it. Use a outlet timer to only run the pump during daylight hours. Use longer hose. Use black irrigation tubing to make the system longer. They sell one dollar couplings to attach garden hose to irrigation tubing. You can put the hose on black material to attract more heat from the sun. You can make a shallow box with a glass or plastic top that creates a green house for the black hose and even paint the inside of the box black.
