It was time for an upgrade from Sharp Aquos 37 inch LCD HDTV to a 2012 Panasonic Viera 55 inch 600Hz (Sub Field Drive) 3D Plasma HDTV.
I did a a lot of research and waited for it to be on sale. Skipped Black Friday/Cyber Monday and waited for Boxing Week. We found this model at Best Buy for $1299.99 till Jan 3/13. The best part was that we found an open item for 1199.99 and took the chance.
The picture quality is amazing! I don't think I'll ever purchase an LCD or LED ever again. Unless, it's OLED HDTV but their pricey. Probably by 5 to 10 years, price will be affordable. But for now, the Plasma HDTV is the next best thing (great for sports)
