Crazy Test: All WLtoys 959 Tested + Brushless Conversion
LINKS and Details BELOW - I wanted to help people trying to do these conversions.... so here's what I learned. I've only been learning about these WLtoys brushless upgrades for about 30 days. Some great people helped me... and this is what they suggested plus what I learned. So its a little different than my normal stuff just learning about RC cars and playing with them with my kids. Plus gyro installed.
Brushless Upgrade to a WLtoys 959 with Radio Link RC4GS Gyro
I’ll post links below. The original car was a WLtoys 959B. This will def be even faster.
Here's what I bought (but do your own research)!!
NOTE: I just changed the body to blue and took off the 4x4 stickers on spoiler this is the GREEN version vortex car with 540 engine and bigger shaft for pinion.

NOTE: If you have the 959 with the 380 brushed motor stock (BUT not the faster green version with the 540 motor - 959B) then look at a brushless 2440 motor. Your pinion gear shaft size NOT the SAME as mine!!
Then choose your KV.

4) I would def. do the metal gears upgrade the stock gears WON'T SURVIVE: - XBERSTAR Upgrade Parts Metal Gear 2 Sets For Wltoys 1/18 A949 959 969 979 K929-B RC Car Parts:
IMPORTANT NOTE: on the 959B version remove the little copper washers from your differential. There are 2 of them in each diff. 2 in front and 2 in back. You won't need these with your new metal diff gears. They are stock inside the diff. If you reinstall them them diffs will not spin right and will bind up.
