Filmed over 2 days this time lapse footage shows the demolition of a large concrete platform in the middle of our production area.
The time-lapse footage shows the space around and under the platform being cleared then the platforms water and electricity supply being cut off. After that the mixing tanks are removed and the demolition begins with the two white emergency shower towers being removed. The platform itself is then broken up by a mini-digger and the rubble is taken away for recycling.
The platform was installed when we were founded back in 1977 and was used as a place for mixing chemicals in large tanks. In early 2013 we decided to look at ways of increasing the efficiency of our production facility and it quickly became clear that the platform had to go to accommodate our vision. Now the area is clear we can implement our plans for improving the layout of the production area -- watch this space!
