I have been into drones for a couple of years and I have built a couple of custom racing drones. I recently wanted to get into drone photography and I was looking for something that was a good price and came with everything I needed. This is a very nice drone for a beginner or somebody that wants a fast practice drone that takes good footage.
Packaging: The Contixo F17+ was packaged in a very nice aluminum case which is nice for both transportation and storage. All of the parts to the drone are in their own spot which makes it perfect to be able to disassemble everything and put it back in the case. Everything was safe and in really good condition when I received it.
Performance: This is a very versatile drone for what you get. The expectation of this drone is to be able to use it as a filming drone which for the price it does a great job at, but it also does much more than that. There are two flight modes, one is a slower mode which is good for getting steadier shots and the other is a faster mode which is great for getting from point to point faster but also is awesome for practicing more of a sport drone flying. This drone is very responsive and even cuts through wind really well when flying.
Brushless motors: The brushless motors are what give this drone the power and speed that it has. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as quality but after feeling the motors I can tell that they are really powerful. These make for a faster more punchy takeoff and gives better response on turns.
2s LiPo battery: The LiPo battery is really nice because it gives more power to flight as well as longer flight times than other batteries I have seen on similar drones. This comes with a balance charger for charging the battery as well which is crucial to extending the life of the battery.
Remote: The remote is very simple but also works really well for what it is. The best feature of the remote is that it has a low voltage and low signal warning. I have learned that it can be detrimental to a LiPo battery to fly it too low and the life of the battery will significantly decrees if not properly taken care of. The fact that the remote warns you when you are getting low gives you the chance to bring it back for a landing and keep the battery at safe voltages.
I would definitely recommend this drone for both a beginner in the hobby as well as somebody who might already have a drone but wants something to either film with or practice some sporty flying. For everything included this is at a great price and there are a lot of options available when flying!
