So I've done some research on my Contixo F6 and found a few things. But first let me say this is a really good flyer! Very stable and quick for it's weight class. The battery life is as good as 12 to 15 minutes on an average. So it's a great buy but range is questionable. I tested the range on it because in my last video it spun out and I lost control and I didn't know why.
Using this range test here, it done exactly the same thing and now I know why. RANGE LIMIT!! The manufacturer spec on range is MISLEADING!!!
I checked their website and it states range is 100m. Then almost in the same paragraph they switched it and said the range is about 100m. That right there is confusing if it is it is right? NO the website I bought this drone states, "Range about 250ft do not fly past 250ft to prevent a chance the drone WILL fly away" That's what they posted. As it stands 250ft is 76m a lot less than a 100m that the manufacturer states or tried to state.
But having done all this opens my eyes to research the drones or anything I plan to purchase in the future. Because I love this hobby and I want to be informed on the particular items I'm interested in getting.
